Rope Burn

I’m not allowed to climb this route in a tank-top anymore. I’ve still got a scar in my armpit from multiple rope burns in the EXACT SAME SPOT.

Distanced

Young, healthy, active people like climbers might not be at much risk from Covid19, but it’s not about us. I live with some high-risk people, so I’ve stopped going to the gym while the pandemic is in full swing. I really, really miss it, but I’d miss those people more. Be responsible. Don’t only take care of yourself; take care of others too.

Belay Neck

I’m unfairly maligning my partner here, as he’s the one who contributed belay specs to our gear bag.

For The Record

I WOULD JUST LIKE TO MAKE IT CLEAR THAT I AM A MUCH BETTER CLIMBER THAN EMPIRICAL EVIDENCE CURRENTLY SUGGESTS

Specialist Beta

What with my left hamstring and left finger injuries, I’m getting really good at working out beta that unweights my left side as much as possible. Which probably explains why I’m developing tendonitis in my right forearm….

Taking the next two weeks off! See you in August. Happy crushing.
